Associate Professor of English and Applied Linguistics
Dr. Nuwar Mawlawi Diab has a vast experience in teaching English for Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). In addition to teaching, she has held numerous administrative duties and is the Founder and Director of the B.A. in translation program at the Lebanese American University, Lebanon. Her research interests are in writing development, writing assessment, contrastive linguistics, writing feedback, and translation. She has given several workshops on writing and participated in numerous symposia and conferences on writing assessment. In addition to being a reviewer for several publishers, she has several publications, including two books translated from Arabic into English, as well as numerous articles in internationally refereed journals and conference proceedings.
Dr. Nuwar Mawlawi Diab is a member of the following associations: American Association of Applied Linguists (AAAL); National Council for Teachers of English (UAS); International Association for Translation and Intercultural Studies (IATIS); and the Ameen F. Rihani Scholars' Desk.
