Meet Mahdi Mansour

Biography

Dr Mahdi Mansour is a content manager at an international publishing house, an educational consultant, a university professor and an author. He is a Harvard certified Educator with a PhD in Applied Mathematics, BS in Literature, Diploma in STEAM education and Diploma in Science Communication.
Dr Mansour leads change in education institutes, lectures in science and maths education, manages talents and trains teachers to design interdisciplinary lesson plans, prepares hands-on, minds-on enrichments and structures PBL through the design process. He is also an expert in blended learning and many other teaching strategies.
Dr Mansour’s own background in STEM (as a scientist and maths lecturer), combined with his passion for education and his talent for poetry (putting the “A” in STEAM!), has led him to be described by Ben Koch as a “Renaissance Thinker” in education.
With expertise across various disciplines and proficiency in linguistics and creative writing, he is now a science writer and author, alongside his effective sessions and participation in many symposiums, training programmes and workshops. He is a frequent keynote speaker at several educational conferences and Arabic Language poetry events.
Global View on Students’ Capabilities
Assessment has always been the biggest challenge in education, and it became a worldwide issue during the pandemic. The session will shed light on authentic assessments to enhance students’ creativity rather than memorising facts.
In this session, participants will learn about different frameworks that enable schools to assess learners from an educational and standardised perspective. Besides, educators will be equipped with tips to help their students analyse what they've learned and apply it to their own experiences.
